Feom Strength to Strength
I started work at my prevoius company in June 2000 and it bacame quickly apparent to the directors that I was reliable, keen to learn and professional. During the 17 years I was there, I attended various courses ans seminars etc. to improve my skills and learn more aspects of the business to the point where I was Office Manager when I resigned. My CV will outline the most important functions I performed during my last 5 years at the company. I work well independently and I got on with Senior Management, colleagues and the driver/tea lady alike. All employees played a vital role in assisting with getting the work done and I was largely responsible for ensuring that things "ticked over", deadlines were met etc. Because I was involved in many of the client liasons and I was largely the "go to" person for clients, I'd say that the most challenging part of my job was ensurimg that the client received responses to their queries / were attended to efficiently and professionally.
Pros: Added value to clients, team work of all 10 employees (a work family)
Cons: Long hours, increasingly poor planning from new management translating to rushed jobs and poor service to clients over the last 2 years (one of the main reasons I left)

Felt like part of a team for the benefit of the whole firm
Currently an Office Manager and do Payroll, Debtors/Creditors, monthly invoicing, CIPC Secretial submissions and I wind up Deceased Estates as an Executor/Administrator. I type professional business letters & emails. I update the company's Cashbook weekly and submit CIPC Annual Returns as & when they are due for clients' companies. I deal with confidential info and perform the company's Payroll each month. I deal with clients' queries in all aspects / forward them to the correct staff
Pros: Small "family" unit (not related), who work well as a team for the overall good of the business
Cons: Overworked and there unable to provide goos service to clients

Excellent learning curve
Teamwork is necessary to perform good quality work for clients. We work according to a high standard and always put out clients first. My co-workers and I work well together, we are able to use a person's good qualities in order to deliver our services. The most challenging part of our industry is to provide the best advice regarding client's financial results.
Pros: Great training environment
Cons: Important to stick to deadlines
