Good customer skill

Each day I meet different customers, who are running small business within the Makhanda area, I register them on CIPC and CSD. ensuring that customers receive a good quality service following the Bathopele principles. Collecting data and capturing it from various Tourism business. I have a good working relationship with my colleagues and a great communication. I have been able to learn new skills from my co-workers, I was also luck to be one of the Interns going for strategic management training, in order to understand plans of building customer relationship. One of the things that I enjoyed is working with virious clients and the challenges which I have during my training, which makes me to grow as an employee in the company. Having to deal with different customers who have different attitude is the most challenging aspect in my job.

No trainings provided for workers

Junior staff not to be provided with skills and opportunities to growth. Basically there is no individual development. There are no challenges that one is faced with, instead workers are having in fights more focused on personal issues than work related issues. to be honest learning areas are only focused and based more on senior employees. i do not enjoy working in an environment that's based on fighting individuals. As a person you fell trapped in one office for years with no skills provided to you. Its frustrating.

Learning curve

All vacant positions are submitted to my office by the Head of Departments by completing a motivation form. Check and confirm if the vacant position is on the approved organogram. Draft the advert and determine whether to advertise internally or externally. compile a master list, co-ordinate shortlistings and interviews. I have learnt to communicate with employees from all different levels and to assist with all their HR related issues. The most challenging aspect of the job is receiving too many applications for me to capture all the applications in a period of 5-10 days in order to meet the deadline for a shortlisting. A solution to the challenge would be having 3 data capturers to assist.

Cons: No assistant and no opportunity to grow in the institution

Excellent learning environment

It is a very wonderful place to be as i am learning alot in the recruitment section, the people that i work with and the environment is friendly. A typical working day is very intense and busy as we deal with capturing receive applications for advertised posts, preparing for shortlisting and making sure the process is done. our day- day work consist of capturing and making calls to short listed candidates. I enjoy the most busy days in the work place when rushing for deadlines and submitting monthly reports.

Salary

working in my company is very stress full because I deal with angry and rude clients. some days are better than the others but the worst past is organising meetings, typing agendas, taking minute etc. I work very nicely with my co-workers and I have learnt a lot including typing of minutes, agendas, letters, filling and different printing layouts. the most challenging aspect is when attending meetings

Pros: its a great opportunity
Cons: i work 8 hours
