Give it your all, Always.

Working for Makro is a great experience for me personally, I have learned a lot I have had only read about at school. I had great mentors who are very open and willing to assist in every way possible to make my working life a good one. I have learned a lot from confidentiality and deal with different individuals in a working environment, my position has humbled me a lot as a person especially knowing that we are from different backgrounds as people and will never be or behave alike. What I enjoy most about my job and the environment as a whole is that even though I'm a junior I'm taken seriously my opinions and views are considered, we are treated as a team regardless of who does what at which position by our management. The most challenging for me now are industrial relations and conflict resolution, but those I can get to know once I get more exposure.

Pros: Great starting point for a person straight from school.
Cons: Long working hours, even on Holidays

Excellent learning curve

I came to Makro straight for varsity. I knew nothing about being in a work environment. I leant a lot from all my colleagues in different ways on a daily basis which have groomed me to be the person that I am today. Thanks to working here I now have: Ability to handle variety of task and working under pressure, Accuracy and Focus, Ability to meet deadlines, Manage conflict resolution and disputes, Planning, Organising and Executing skills, Ability to effectively liaise and communicate with customers verbally and in writing, Problem solving and Flexibility skills, Confidentiality and Trustworthy, Time management skills, Attention to details. Its a great experience still today thou one needs to grow and experience different sectors.

Very busy, accurate and intense environment. Function extremely well with co-workers. Enjoy my role and functions in my current position. Stock controlling extremely challenging

Good service level

-Month end -very good -customer is always right -Handling a customer complaint in a very manner way Coming across the emotional customers and not reaching the daily target as per call centre performance level
