I am currently working for a construction company by the name of Mamonyane construction as a marketing assistant. I am very passionate about sales and marketing as we know that they are interrelated. I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration, in with marketing was one of my major modules for the course. If given a chance I promise to give hundred percent in every task assigned to me and I believe that have the necessary skills and knowledge to complement the organisation. My role as a marketing assistant includes the following :undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities, Support marketing executives in organizing various projects,Conduct market research and analyze consumer rating reports/ questionnaires Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data ,Update spreadsheets, databases and inventories with statistical, financial and non-financial information.

Good

As a Junior Quantity Surveyor at Mamonyane Construction my responsibilities are: 1. Analyzing construction drawing. 2.Prizing and compiling bills of quantity 3.Preparing tender and contract documents including bills of quantity 4. Preparing and analyzing costing for tenders 5. Estimating and writing a detailed progress report 6.Preparing and analyzing profitability and feasibility studies 7. Preparing payment certificates for sub-contractors work 8. On site measurement 9. Preparing and compiling invoices. The company is still growing therefore at some point it does not challenge me so I need to be in a working field where I get strong challenges that shakes me from my comfort zone so could grow. Given an opportunity to explore in the construction industry can be a great blessing to me.

Pros: There is always a room for discussion and they give you an opportunity to share your thoughts
Cons: Sometimes professionalism is being compromised
