Opportunity for Advancement

A bus body manufacturing firm, originally from Brazil. Its the only bus body builder who can supply a Double Decker body in South Africa at the moment. Marcopolo sells about 350 - 450 bus bodies per year and export about 100 of those to the African countries using right hand drive vehicles. Im one of the Sales Executive looking after the South African market and my regions are, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, North West, Eastern Cape, Gauteng, Swaziland and Lesotho. My main oblective is to market and sell Marcopolo bus bodies to customers and to OEMs operating in my regions My job require extensive travelling, and abnormal working hours.

Learning a lot from the company

Marcopolo South Africa (Pty) Ltd, a leading bus body manufacturer, has been operating since 1996, with the establishment of Brasa (Pty) Ltd, which was an agent for sales and after sales of imported vehicles from Brazil. Marcopolo then established its assembling subsidiary in 1999, located originally in the city of Polokwane. Shortly thereafter, in 2001, the facilities were transferred to Germiston, in Johannesburg. It currently employs 250 people and manufactures around 270 units a year. Marcopolo offers inner city buses and coaches (including luxury coaches).
