I would like to grow in a company

The company i work for now is a great company i get along well with everyone in the company i have learned alot as i done my apprentiship here and many projects outside south africa on large motors which has motivated me in the direction i want to be in

Pros: working on projects out the country and working on large motors
Cons: company has gone quiet with not enough work and no space to growi

Excellent learning experience.

My Mechanical Engineering experiential training covered skills such as: • Technical report writing • Mechanical drawing interpretations • Basic Welding, Milling, Fitting and Turning • Bearings and bearing lubrication • Carrying out AC, DC and Traction Motor overhaul • Assisting is speed reduction gearbox overhaul Some of the techniques learnt and applied include: • RCM and Maintenance management principles (Preventive and Predictive) • Creative thinking • Project scheduling

Pros: Great opportunity to be able to merge Mechanical and Electrical Engineering knowledge into one. The environment teaches one to be able to work independently and as well as working as a team to complete a task.
Cons: • Working long hours without prior notice • Working long hours

Excellent learning curve

Almost every morning I run test and take dope after that then I start to connect new winded motors. I have a great relationship with my colleagues since we both have a same mission of the day and work towards success every day. Since I was employed I have learned from dismantling a motor and a transformer also able to take dope and rewind connect test and run. I have enjoyed rewinding of transformer and testing most in my learning curve, though it's one of the most challenging aspects of engineering.

Pros: Less opportunities
Cons: No overtime
