Trainee accountant
I am ambitious about finance, business management and operations. I have gained experience in the Manufacturing, Health industry, Attorneys, Estate agents, Technology, Retail and Non-Profit industries. I have been exposed to the public and private sector. I completed my CTA while I was doing my articles which shows my ability to manage my time effectively. Not only did i complete my CTA during articles but I also achieved excellent results academically I also received consistent promotions during the 3 years of articles. This is a testament to my drive and commitment to give of the best work I possibly can. I am passionate about the business world and eager to follow a career in commerce. Well-organised, highly motivated and an excellent communicator. This is further evident by the various work committees I was a part of during my articles as well as the various motivational talks I gave to schools and university students.

There is always something new to learn as the clients are from different industries
A typical day and Mazars is about allocation work to the junior staff, following up on continuing projects, couching and doing the admin task for the projects like updating and reconciling budgets. I have made good relationships with the team members i have worked with. I have learnt to always give people a fair chance and afford my self the opportunity to get to know everyone because people are amazing when you know them. The part i enjoy most about about my job is guiding and couching the junior staff, i am very passionate about about empowerment. I believe when you invest in people you get more capacity through competent and confident teams that get the job done. The most challenging aspect of the job is that we don't have control over everything and sometimes we have to chase hectic deadlines.
Pros: You become an all rounder and you are exposed to different industries and all aspect of the business.
Cons: The tight deadlines require overtime and sometimes working from home

What makes me perfect for this opportunity
I am in the employ of Mazars as a Credit Controller in finance department. My core function is to ensure all debt gets paid, from over 90 days, and current, and ensure that my partners are updated at all times. I build and maintain relations with all clients, both corporate and individual to ensure that I am always informed with the financial circumstances, and ensure to be paid before other creditors. I work on Excel on a day to day basis, as I provide most of my clients with recons. I do not have pastel experience, as our invoices, credit notes, journals etc, gets processed on a system called Greatsoft. I will however be doing pastel as a subject in August 2017 through Boston College. Please refer to my Curriculum Vitae. I do believe that my expertise is what makes me suitable for this position, and commit to add more value, bring positive energy to your finance department.

Learning curve is great
Good day, Im not even sure where to start (giggles) ok i get to work at about 07:50am get my coffee ,switch on everything get ready o take phone calls read emails and respond. check all boardroom phones are working, check on all staff members who havent clocked in, knwing their wherebouts is my job. The relationship i have with everybody is absolutely beautiful and because im at reception im forever greeting and chatting to people (they call me counsellor). The company i work for is my first real job thats why i'll forever charish all good and bad moments lol the bad would be when i couldnt complete daily tasks that ive set for myself due to illness or because im stretching my hands too far helping other departments with their tasks. Basically thats what i do. What i love most would be talking to clients in person or over the phone most of them dont even have to introduce them selves coz we alrealdy have a relationship/we know each other. I hope that gives you an insight of who i am :-)

Audit Manager
Hi Qualified CA(SA) and 10 years post article experience. Currently an audit manager at Mazars. I'm a very fast worker with great attention to detail that always sees the ''bigger picture''. Further I always ensure that deadlines are met. Thanks.

Career development pursuit
I am a go getter, strong willed and determined friendly individual. I am expressive and like to express my views and ideas taking into consideration other people’s opinions in the matter at hand. I have always worked at a supporting end and giving support of any nature or form is what I do best. I am very interactive person and quite easy going. I thrive at new environments and always like new challenges with much self-motivation. Managing team dynamics is at the core of my work. Adhering to clear job plans and objectives results into achieving effective outputs and results and I am able to measure clearly my areas of developments in that effect.

Excellent Growth
I am currently working with one of the experts on B-BBEE in SA. This affords me access to relevant up to date info in the ever changing world of legislation and amendments. The company has a worldwide footprint which ensures up to date methods and learning opportunities. Colleages are informed and literate and clients are corporate and dynamic. It is a challenge to retain and grow the existing client base.

Excellent learning curve
Great company culture and investment in individuals that work there that allow for growth. My current role involves travelling extensively to clients both within and outside of my current regions and also involves the planning and timeous execution of audit’s while being responsible for the management of the time and allocated work of any junior level staff allocated to the audit and the review of their work. As part of any job that I am allocated to, it is essential to obtain an understanding of the client for which the engagement is being performed and interacting with the appropriate level of staff in order to do this.

Excellent learning environment
I have 14 years’ experience working in an external audit as well as forensic environment at a supervisory level and a solid commitment to this important in house function. My current position has provided me with exposure to both the public and private sector and supervisor role in investigation and fraud analysis, and fraud risk assessments. My previous position has provided me with extensive experience in the micro-finance banking industry, and placed me in a Global management position. I wish to build on my achievements and take on a Forensic Senior Manager or Forensic Executive position. To assist me in this goal I have completed a Higher Certificate in Management development ("HCMD"). I have further completed my CFE . I can offer you a combination of practical experience and up to date theoretical knowledge.
