We sell ice to Eskimos
A hardcore sales condition with strict budgets and reporting. There is basically nothing my team and I cannot sell, even during dry markets we still sell, we are not achieving the set budgets but we strive everyday to secure sales. We carry each other like soldiers. No one should be left behind. What I enjoy more about my job is that, it gives me the opportunity to explore and jump out of my shell. I love the road so I also enjoy the traveling that comes with my job.
Pros: family business
Cons: Businesses that are usually run by a family are mostly reluctant to change mainly because they want to keep the family tradition and respect for the founder. And that usually hinder the processes. We are now living in a vibrant sales and business environment with technology in our mist. Change management and adaptation is very crucial. Corporate businesses usually have departments and processes in place as opposed to a one man show.

Great family business
I am at work from 6h30 until 17h00. I have learnt that not all of us operate on the same level and we needs to adjust accordingly. I get the most joy out of solving problems and helping people. the most challenging is seeing that changes need to be made and it take awhile before others can see it
Pros: getting involved in all aspects of the business
Cons: dealing with negative people

Good Company
Very good company to work for and love my job and also very good team to work with. My know my customer and they like and what not. I build a very good relationship with my customers and I think customers don't buy from the company but by the person who service them.
Pros: We are a small branch in Western Cape and only have a Warehouse manager a Sales manager and 2 data capture girls plus 5 sales rep
Cons: We only work Monday to Friday and sometimes SaturdaySaturdays for promotional events

An opportunity
My extensive experience was predominantly contractor and government projects until I joined medal paints where the customer base is only hardware stores and other distributors. I have gained a good experience because I managed to do well in a day to day routine which can be a bit boring. I can say I will be able to do well in any situation as long as I have to sell. I love to sell.
Pros: Sales always presents an opportunity to think outside the box.
Cons: I would love to break the routine.

Good experience
Structure not flat and the changes are not necessary Communications and team members are not supporting one another. My reason for leaving is because of the fact that they are not the same when I started
Pros: Slim opportunity to grow
Cons: Traveling
