I have learnt how to deal with a lot of people and resolve problems in an amicable way

The is always something new at HR department. Every day something new comes up, it can be doing hearings, grievances, ill health enquirers and so on and the next can consist of doing interviews and hiring new staff and training them on the new job. I have learnt the personeel side as well for example that if you treat people with respect, they reward you with respect.
