I have always learned something new daily

I have been put on a deep end everytime when owners need someone to step up and stepping up was my favourite thing to do because that's when you can differentiate between slackers and performers. I have done incredible work for the company I worked for including making sure the company sees profit margins on accessories that laid dormant and even want to sitting stock for months.I have not even for inced been acknowledged but It has never stopped me from setting myself above the rest. Working in a company that allows team worksometimesis a good thing depending on the ambiance the team leader creates for the entire team. But personally I believe everyone in the team should be happy in order for them to perform at their best personal level. A happy team is a thriving team.

Pros: Day to day meeting new faces and it helps to do face to face client assistance for confidence
Cons: Realising that you are unable to help a client and the brand is being tarnished right infront of you and there is absolutely nothing you can do, and you realising that you can't help de- motivates you as an individual

Excellent learning curve given career change

Project delivery environment, developing and launching new products. Very good relationship with project team members I have learnt to juggle varying priorities given many moving parts I enjoy getting to the point when we go live with a new product after testing and iteration and go to market Constant changing requirements driven by various stakeholder agendas

Pros: Great opportunity to be at the center of transformation of the business
Cons: Challenging to change telco mindsets to the new reality of the industry

Great learning and professional development experience

MTN Group is a great company to working for but MTN South Africa has quite a good number white racist South African who do not want to be involved in any knowledge transfer to other people of colour. They get to work to frustrate others.

Excellent company to work for.

Managing a team of 5 directs reports with 48 indirect reports managing owned stores and 18 non franchised stores.The team consists of different people with different backgrounds that includes a member of the LGBT COMMUNITY and an Afrikaans individual,with an Indian origin Man. Daily performance reviews and action plan put in place to rectify deviations such as failure to adhere to procedures and customer complaints.I have learnt that without a solid team there will not be a success.MyThe current focus of the team is to improve and increase market share in specific areas and so far we have been doing a stunning job.I mostly enjoy the interaction of the team and what they bring to the table daily.Ours greatest challenge has been systems not functioning properly on a given day and having to find a way to satisfy the customers.

MY DAY AT MTN SA

In a typical day at work I always start off with my morning duties as Branch Manager and follow all Admin. Have my morning meetings with my staff regarding customer service, sales and targets. I work really well with my Team and we all get along very well I enjoy speaking to customers and assisting where need be as Manager The most challenging of my job is dealing with upset customers who refuse to listen to reason when helping this is a challenge but I always make sure I assist every person with respect and give them the help\guidance which they need.

Pros: A good Commestion structre
Cons: Working in a mall comes with alot of long hours thugh i have gotten used to it.

Good company

Great company to work for. The atmosphere at MTN was ok. My team was moved from Gallo Manor to 14th Avenue with no consideration whatsoever of additional travel costs for people staying in and around Midrand, Centurion and Pretoria.

Good team players.. long working hours interaction with clients..clients visiting.petrol allowance..most challenging is dealing with clients who wants to cancel
