Currently I am working at a local government as a Payroll Officer where i administer payroll of 658 employees including Councillors. I work 8 hours a day Mon-Fri and usually works more hours when required. I am sure you are aware of the flexibility, focus and diplomacy such position requires. From my work in a payroll office, I have had the opportunity to learn the Tax administrative act, financial administration and Payroll principles, policies, procedures and the protocol necessary to enforce them ethically and without liability. I enjoy mostly handling employees salary related queries, reconciling payroll system with the financial system and income tax calculation as my accountancy skills and ability to work with figures are very excellent. One of the most challenging aspect in this job is that mostly it requires me to work extra hours in order to enforce my work ethically without any liability.

Cons: Sometimes required to work long hours

Its excellent learning curve

The company is great! my relationship with core workers is exceptional. I am very patient hence I don''t personalize what happens in the office. I learnt filling, creating personnel files, manning the receptionist office.

Excellent learning curve

working at Musina Local municipality it has been a great experience in the sense that i was imparted with experience and a lot professionalism as well as wisdom and getting to know how ti conduct one self in a meetings and in the office as well as interacting with colleagues. working at the municipality was stressful in the sense that we were working long hours and it was also deadline driven but it was a good experience and preparation for any challenge or work along the professional journey

Good environment and challenging

I always show loyalty, enthusiasm ,hard work and creativity to my superiors at work. My qualifications and work experience have endowed me with the right knowledge and management skills to be able to communicate thoughts, Ideas and information clearly and concisely both in writing and verbally that has equipped me with a range of disciplines on physical planning, reporting skills and have the ability to work within a corporate identity framework, can work under pressure and with accuracy.
