I am always willing to learn new things and seek for development

To work at Mvi group has helped me to understand different personalities as we deal with different clients for example contracted to AGSA when Auditing Provincial departments (PFMA) and Municipal Audits (MFMA), it is quite challenging to work with different manager with different styles of work, at the same time you gain exposure lot of components. Consulting: preparation of financial statements for audit its always interesting to be on the other side not being an auditor now being a prepare, it is quite nice to be around co-workers guiding each other and assisting each other. in the audit i can say i have been exposed to all mostly to all components and also preparation of financial statement. It very enjoyable to discuss application of the standard or legislation with the client also it is very enjoyable to audit or prepare for small client.

Pros: N/A since the company is closing
Cons: Its normal to work long hours especial when you dealing big clients

Working as a trainee accountant in Eastern Cape

Compile system descriptions; perform walkthroughs and test of controls Preparation and review of complex reconciliations. Designing audit procedures to suit different clients and accounting legislation Preparing reports sent to clients (management letters, schedule of misstatements report and other relevant communication) Coordinate with clients and management and other stake holders Work on audit software – Planning, execution, reporting First level review of audit work – basic Financial statement analysis. Teamwork – able to work hours as required. Proficient with IT (applications and diagnostics – basic) Keeping up to date with professional standards and being aware of the latest developments Project management (audit team budgeted hours and allowances)

Great learning experience

MVI Group was a great company to learn, working there was amazing, the job is stressful but the colleagues support each other. I have enjoyed spending time with my colleagues and managed to make friends. I have learnt the importance of working in a team.
