Good learning opportunity
My job at National Renal care taught me much. Especially in terms of people relations. A typical work day included liaising with patients, doctors, labs and stakeholders. Answering of phones, sending emails, capturing data, maintain confidentiality, updating database, filing, and billing of patients. I had good relationships with my co-workers. We worked well together. I learned to improve my people skills by working with the patients. We had patients from all ethnic groups. I had to learn to control my temper and not to take everything personal. I enjoyed interacting with the patients and to share in their joys and triumphs. The worst part was when we lost a patient. The challenging part was to remain loyal to the company after my manager put a notion of mistrust against me. - I was found not guilty and my manager resigned 7 months later.
Pros: Good educational opportunities
Cons: Some management was prejudiced and not very good listeners and they played favourites.

I am a responsible person willing to learn from experienced people especially my Superior .
The first week of the month has the most busy days with so much deadlines and submissions. Collecting statistics for the month and monthly reports are always due on the first two days of the new month. And you normal duties are due. The capturing of patients results and to upload new information on them. To do this you need a good relationship with your team which I always emphasizes that , to keep the unit on top we work together and have meetings in between to encourage new employees. I have learnt that working cohesively, united with your team you need to be flexible and easy to work with also follow up on people's attitudes. I enjoy working with people and learn different attitudes and behaviors. We dealing with sick people and you have to be calm and understanding , they need love and care ,they seek for attention you to give them but they are also customers they need to treated like one but they are lovely.
Pros: I have been nominated as one day unit leader
Cons: Working long hours for me is possibly I love my job

Working for national renal care is eye opening for me.
My day would start out with opening the unit at 5am. Preparing machines for treatment and making sure all SOP are followed such as water treatment levels. I would then welcome thr patients in make sure the comfortable and ready for thier four hour long treatment. I also assist nurses aswell. Ince all patients are settled i would start to prepare for the next shift in advance as time management is imperative. I also check stock inventory and other duties that are allocated to me for the day. At time i may receive stock aswell as unpack them setting them acording to FIFO(first in first out) rule.
Pros: Exposure to different people and networking.
Cons: Long hours
