Provides Training
The organization is located outside the town and far away (about 30km) which makes it a bit tiring traveling long distances every day. I'm working on projects. projects are consisting of a team. so my typical work day looks like this; meetings after meetings, writing reports, developing plans/schedules. I enjoy interacting with the people because every day you got to learn something. another aspect that I enjoy being here it that when there is a need, the company provides training, I've been trained in PRINCE2. dealing with people is not always easy. there is pressure at a time meeting deadlines.
Pros: Great professional environment, they provide training
Cons: Less or Limited opportunities for promotion

My interest in Science
My interest in science dates back to my years in high school, where I excelled in physical science and mathematics. When I was a first year university undergraduate, I took Applied Mathematics, Cell Biology, Chemistry and Pure math and earned an A in Applied Mathematics. It was then that it seemed only logical that I pursue a career in Mathematical Sciences. During my undergraduate studies I had the opportunity to be exposed to a wide range of Science courses, all of which tended to reinforce and solidify my intense interest in Science. I've also had the opportunity to study a few subjects in the humanities during my Postgraduate certificate in Education and they have been both enjoyable and enlightening, providing me with a new and different perspective on the world in which we live.
Pros: A great opportunity for growth
Cons: Diligent working

Learning curve
I view life as a learning process in which challenges should be accepted if necessary created. I am an ambitious individual with a lot of motivation, determination and perseverance. I regard myself as being open minded, flexible and have potential to develop. I am eager to learn and prepared to undergo any further training if so required. I take pride in my work, thorough and professional. For me the essence of a career is a personal fulfillment, to be excited and motivated about the work undertaken. I would like to work in an environment that is supportive and challenging, which encourages individual initiative and participative cooperation. Besides my commitment to NECSA (Nuclear Energy Corporation of South Africa), as a Junior HRBP, I am a very flexible and adapt very easily to new working environment. I am confident that being appointed to an advertised post will present me with a challenge that I will assume with keenness.
Pros: It's the only one of its kind in the continent and there is so much to learn about nuclear energy and radiation
Cons: Long distance travelling

Excellent learning curve
As for a typical day at a help desk, an adequately staffed help desk will be hot or cold. You are either slammed or you surf the web. You will most likely run into the same dozen problems over and over again. To be successful, learn these twelve items cold. From there start branching off your knowledge. This part is pretty industry specific. If there is a data path, learn the general data flow then learn how to break down the individual processes. You may be supporting a specific technology or piece of hardware, I don't know. In any case learn the basics and then expand upon the individual pieces. Sooner than you know you will become the man/woman/dog to go to on a specific area.
Pros: Interaction with varisity of people
Cons: Different personality

See attched cv
See attached cv for the complete history. The above mentioned work is my last employer, which was a State Owned Company. As this was the nuclear industry, the quality requirements were very strict. Also, the bureaucracy was very much in place, which removed most decision making from junior employees - including engineering decisions. The other difficulty is that we have two mandates: service to the public & profitability. This was not possible due to the bureaucracies and the nuclear industry requirements, and politics, all which have to be balanced every time. However, there were occasional situations where we worked with / for private industry which removed this obstacles, and allowed us to be innovative engineers.
Pros: Great opportunity for learning
Cons: Not a permanent employment
