Sound knowledge of building industry requirements
A typical day would be collecting staff and taking them to site. Supervising them, sourcing, negotiating fees, and employing the right people to do the job. Have learnt to be firm when necessary, and setting standards that everyone can achieve. I enjoy the interaction with the staff as well as with the clients. Challenging aspects of the job are ensuring that the staff understand and carry out the work properly and that they come to work each day. Doing own debt collecting is challenging.
Pros: Being your own boss, you can get up each day not having to worry about facing an obnoxious or unhappy boss, and not having to take instructions from that boss. Of course, one's client is in fact your boss (employer) but it is somehow different. Love the fact that I can put my own price tag and value on my services and being honest goes a long way to getting there.
Cons: Clients who think they know more than me in the building industry when they are clearly unqualified (i.e. Lawyers, accountants, Blue collar workers)

Has gained more experience in administration
I am an individual who is willing to learn given a chance and exposure hard working and also contribute what I have learned from my previous work experience. I am also teachable and can work within a team and also a team builder.

Great learning opportunity
I have learnt alot whilst tutoring and running my own business. It was a great opportunity to learn every aspect in business. I have much more insight on administrative work and it helped me to be to work well with people. There is a lot of stress and responsibility involved and it helped me learn how to work under pressure.

The scope for a HR and business consultant is unlimited. It creates an opportunities to meet people from different backgrounds and experience levels. One learns allot about oneself and what you are capable off. The enjoyment of bring change about in the lives of my clients by developing new systems and processes that will contribute to their business success is priceless.
