I enjoy working at Pearson, i report as early as possible, check my calendar and e-mail, respond where necessary. I then meet with the Safety Officer and Manager Facilities to check if there were any issue the previous day/night. I inspect the security control room and check on the site manager to identify any problems. I then review the current policies, site instructions and post specific job description. I then check in on the other Campuses. I have a very good working relationship with my co-workers There is mistrust of the service provided by the security officers and staff at times shy away from their responsibilities I enjoy interacting with the diverse group of people Pleasing the end customer who is resistance to change

Pros: I get ti interact with a broad spectrum of individuals from Academics to the lowest level of employees
Cons: I have very long travel time due to the traffic

RESPONSIBILITIES

Attach supplier invoices to Goods Received Notes and Delivery Notes sent from the ware house. •Create Royalty statements to be sent to Authors with details of the Royalties due to them •Loading new Local and Foreign Authors on Master file Book Master system, •Update information of Suppliers such as banking details and email address on Master File, •Invoice processing for payment of Pearson suppliers •Daily Invoice processing for payment of Pearson Institute of Higher Education suppliers •Creating Journal entries once a week for student refunds and post for payment •Liaising daily (through email) with procurement controllers to correct purchase orders received that are incorrectly loaded on the system. •Process Credit notes for goods not delivered or returned but included in the-amount invoiced responsibilities for payment.

Pros: Good culture and decent coleagues
Cons: Work Volume.but manageable

Opportunity for growth and good incentives...very supportive management.however the company does restructure amf retrench far too many times
