Challenging

Start at 07h00 and work till 17h00 Do most of my admin from 07h00 to 08h00 for the day planning of the day. Lots of teleconferences as clients all over South Africa, first one start at 08h00 Excellent relationship with co workers Have learnt over the last year or so three new business models that the company now sells Interaction with my clients and engineers is the most enjoyable part of my day Company does not have proper processes in place like PMO, etc

Pros: Excellent for learing new technologies
Cons: Insufficient resources for all the projects and far to many projects allocated to each individual project manager

Good learning experience

I am currently working at Pivotal data for a year and six months. During this time I have learnt how to work with people and what it means to be organized, professional and hard working. I am surrounded with a lot of men and women who inspire me to work hard and to do my best. I have a good understanding with all staff members including the directors. The thing I most is getting a new task that challenges me. I enjoy learning something new and growing each day. The most challenging part of working is the hours and sometimes there isn’t much work to do.

Pros: Great opportunity to start as a student
Cons: Long hours and sometimes not much work
