I handled full switchboard and liased with clients. I also was in charge of general administration as well as monthly PAYE and VAT submissions. I did the yearly income tax return submissions as well as the preparation of annual financial statements. I also would attend to the needs of the staff ensuring that they have adequate supplies of stock and stationery. My duties also included doing follow ups with clients and emails. I enjoyed learning new things as i entered the position with no experience and learnt everything i know. My colleagues were patient and hands down.

Excellent learning curve
My current job description includes : capturing creditors and debtors invoices, checking if invoices are VAT compliant, posting to ledger accounts, bank recons, general journal entries, tax calculations for individuals, switch board operating and manning the filing room as well as the compilation of annual financial statements for various clients and fixed asset schedules.
Pros: Great opportunity to gain experience
