A typical day at work begins with setting daily goals with my colleagues and the we start the day off by making the store ready for people by making sure that it is tidy and clean, making it attractive so people will want to come in and see what we have. We have to make sure that the previous days work are recorded and that everything balances and that money is deposited into the bank. Merchandise needs to be counted at least once a week and relationships between co workers needs to be of mutual respect. The challenging aspects of the job is people, you meet different people from different walks of life and you have to be able to adapt and relate to each one. No day is the same in retail. You can get very difficult customers and need to stay calm and composed while trying to help them effectively. I enjoy being part of a family and the customers who really appreciate my service.

Excellent learning curve
Being a sales assistant cashier is a lot of hard work because we'll have good and bad days. You should be a people's person because you are dealing with different people every day. It is a very challenging task working with different colleague's every now and then because we relocate now and then And I have learned a lot of things like the admin work,how to work when we are off-line by doing sales manually and how to approach people. There are things that I enjoy the most like making our target for the day. And making good relationships with our customers

Working environment
For start, The company is a family retail clothing business, with over 1000 employees within 400 stores the company has and including the the head office. And has been in existence since 2012. The working environment here is friendly, very good if you seeking experience regardless of the field you in. Because we engage with different kinds of people, one needs to be patient and multilingual. Here at the head office we have quite a number of departments ,Finance, Stock Control, IT, Buying, HR, Accounts(Call center), Maintenance,Warehouse and Marketing. All this departments combined have different responsibilities to the Stores we have around the country. My duties on a normal day include but not limited, emails support(Outlook 2007/10/13), in-house software support (POS, Postgres Sql, PCM) , VIP and Pastel, IP phone configuration and setup, loading of software's on new machines, networking(TCP/IP), repairing of computers Vast knowledge I have acquired on networking( working with IP address).
Pros: In the IT department since it's a family business there aren't any growth opportunities.
Cons: As IT we do work long including weekends whereby our shifts rotate

I'm people oriented ,team player ,dealing with different personalities on a daily basis ,Enthusiastic, Customer and visual merchandising Oriented .Most challenging aspects is to monitor about 2000 staff on a daily basis with different attitude motivating and encouraging them to stay positive or during the promotion day when we have to send the memos and explain to them how they should implement the promo ,when they offline and doesn't report to It dept, During pack ups when they don't finish on time.
Pros: I was given opportunity from Junior store Analyst to be Team leader
Cons: i work from 08:15am until 04:30 from Monday till Friday also 2 saturday's in and 1 sunday in a month

I have learn to work in a group and to lead staff
I have grown a lot as an individual and i enjoy working with my co-workers they are always lough with customers and meet new customer everyday.i have learnt not to get angry with others over something which can be solved and i enjoy spending time with my co-workers talking about how we manage to push target for the day. and the most challenging aspect about my job is when i come across a difficult customer who dont understand the rules of the company.
Pros: in my company they dont promote managers
Cons: i work long hours 8:00 to 5:00 and weekends plus holiday

Day to Day
Generally my position entails a lot of pressure. Daily I am bringing new styles in and negotiating prices. I work with many suppliers and liaising with them is on a daily basis. Confirming and negotiating is what I am strongest at. I work well with my team, I manage and help my team wherever I can. I like to know that they are all on the same page with everything in the clothing department. I have learnt so much for the past 5 years . I have done admin, planning, buying, managing budgets, arranging shipments and deliveries, procurement, payments , travelling. I love the pressure and the travel the most, I am always ready for a challenge and a new problem to solve. I find the most challenging is that anything can go wrong from order process to receiving goods. you always need to come up with a quick solution or make a plan if something does occur. Always keen on these kind of challenges, that is where one learns best

My success
In the company I'm working for I've learned a lot about, how u carry your self when working with customers service, physical and in telephonically, how to respond through from where by a customer enters starting on how u present your self, customers ethics, able to work under being monitored, capturing of customers queries, working with finance and I've matured a lot about the company, I think I could explore in other company like to learn to express my English where I can grow, have the certificate in Public Relations N4 computer literate, office skills,telephone antiquate,Excel, and work, also Power point. I'm more than my company my vision is extreme

I am willing to work under pressure because that is what I am doing in my current job, I like working as a team even individual I can also work. I like chachallenging things more especially New things. I am a go getter,energetic always on point lady.
