Great Broad Exposure

Being exposed to the mining industry has developed me in to understanding the important role inventory plays in the functionality of any business, be it big or small. The accurate inventory of material, equipment and processes of a business makes the operational part of that business simple to manage and to reach set target/goals. When dealing with inventory of a business, one need to remember that it is not just about the physical counting of what you have, it is also about the managing of cost. What you have against what you need. Is what you have critical for the business or it something you can do without? The time delivery period of what you do not have and is it something that can stop the functionality or operation of the business?

Good learning curve

Working in the mining industry, I was exposed to various situations. Going underground, supervising, driving machinery, planning, surveying and doing administrative work was the daily routine followed. Recently I am studying for my blasting ticket. During my career at the Mine, I realised my passion for planning and coordinating. I started studying Project Management at the PM Academy, and noted that I enjoy the project and administrative work that goes along with it. Although mining was an excellent learning experience, I decided to follow my passion for Project Management and Project Administration.
