Everything talent acquisition, journey and retention

A typical work day at my current company is mainly based on candidates journey, from sourcing on all social media platforms for talent and as soon as talent is identified we then get in contact with the potential candidate with just an informal chat to get to know them. Next step would be interview them and always stay in touch to avoid the candidate losing interest until we appoint them. The environment relaxed but work gets done, with warm and welcoming coworkers. I have grown so much in people skills and I enjoy interaction with internal and external candidates and stakeholders.

Great learning experience

Working for RCS has been an amazing learning opportunity and has allowed me to be able to master my abilities as a peoples person. We meet alot of people some who are really difficult but I have grown to be able to deal with the different personalities that customers / clients have. Being too comfortable in your space is not an option because the retail business requires one to be innovative and move with the changing times. My colleagues and I get along which is required when dealing with customers. The most challenging aspects of the job is trying to reach company targets with a derailing society that's in debt and few approvals but some days are better than others

Excellent learning curve, no career growth

Its a good company ,I enjoy interacting with customers when m approaching them with information about the products that we offer as a company.we have a good proffesional relationship with my colleagues and my manager.what I enjoy the most is to see a smile on the customer because of the treatment that we gave them,i have learned a lot especially about handling of difficult customer,I can safely say I have managed to make a lot acquaintances through my company

Life at Work

1. a typical day at work is reaching target and being a team player. 2. I have a awesome understanding with my colleagues 3. I have learnt to work with different people and to always make the best of every situation 4. I enjoy going to work and interacting with everyone 5. The most challenging aspects of my job is trying to balance work relationships and personal relationships with colleagues

No growth at all

I enjoy working at rcs although growth us limited. I have learnt to solve fraud wrong card queries Typical working day is when all the work is up to date I have learnt that i cannot be too comfortable doing my job or i will make too much mistakes

New ideas

I studied Mathematical statistics at University of the South Africa. Where I am currently working I use mostly SAS an SQL to analyses date. I am currently working as a Risk analyst - Fraud analytical support.

People centric approach

Coming from a BPO we find the pace very slow and segregarated from the reest of the business. Growth is purported, but not realised, fast enough. Otherwise the culture is very people centric and committed to staff well being.

Pros: Ten years plus tenure, but promotion not as fast paces as in a BPO environment

What I have learned at Rcs group

I have learned a lot at Rcs group, team work very important, good communication skills , basically what we do there we selling our product to the customers talking to customers the whole day, I like that because i am talkative and we respond to the emails , answering the phone ,sending application to head office

Pros: Opportunities for the company to give me position are very high because l know everything in the company I do my work accordingly ,always on time , I make sure that we meet the target
Cons: I dont mind working long hours as long as I will get the day off

Always learning and upskilling employees

As a telemarketer my job is to sell credit cards to our clients and meet the required targets set. Currently our sales department is closed, so we helping out all other departments. Mostly our collections department. By assisting customers who cannot pay, and persuading those who are able to. RCS has a great working environment, and I get along well with everyone. I enjoy dealing with customers and it satisfies me when I solve their queries. The only shortfall is that growth opportunities are scare. And I feel that every person is to grow with their company.

Making the best of the situation what I love doing

Very pressurized environment with too much last minute adhoc requests. Majority of top management are not as diverse and inclusive as they possibly think they are or try to be. High staff turnover should be reviewed. Lots of opportunities created for staff to cross learn and gain experience as part of the secondment process and graduate program. I have built a great network of support across business areas. Met a few amazing people.
