A fter retiring in 2007 I have joined an Electrical Firm to introduce an Office system
The duties were to answer technical queries from site and support the site personnel with problem solving. Material ordering and delivery control as required by Bill of Quantity and installation programme. Supervised the stores - receiving and delivery to site. Managed the vehicles and plant in relation to mileage covered and cost effectiveness Compilation of yearly BEE, Skills development and Employment equity schedules for submission to DOL Interacted with financial department in controlling material ordered and delivered
Pros: This was a challenge to introduce a new office system. This was Ideal for office work because I could not do physical work on site anymore. The location was close to home and reduced travelling time.
Cons: The only problem was that in the last two years a lack of Managerial skills and financial discipline was noticed.

Job Satisfaction, full of energy, first class learning curve
I was recruited by Alfa Sand works as a supervisor in the Quarry Supervising Quarry Staff, my qualities were seen promoted to Site Administrator and looked after all Procurement for 3 Quarries a lot of Job Satisfaction and valuable experience gained, had a good relationship with all workers, Promoted to Quarry Manager a very exciting position, with a great deal of job satisfaction, typical day quarry inspections and delegation of staff for days activities, Fixed plant inspections with Production Manager all plant breakdowns attended to. Safety Inspections, Tool Box Talks, Power Point Presentations, and operating within budget. Meetings with DMR daily and monthly reports on Quarry Production, Customer calling to ensure all happy with deliveries and any problems with aggregates. Woke up in the mornings and wanted to go to work, The most challenging aspects was Safety for all employees and having achieved 1000000 hours of accident free on quarry.
Pros: There was great scope for promotion
Cons: The long working hours with call outs running a 24 hour operation

Very Excellent learning curve
Start by meet with workshop staff discuss work activities for the day and do costing and order material and oversee work activities at the lifting department. Me and co-workers worked very close and as n team. I learnt a lot about Sales and Lifting equipment. I enjoyed every activity and job that we completed. Most challenging were when I were involved in building the local Spar in Middelburg.

My carreer goals
It has always been my passion to work as a Receptionist administrator. I get in to work early and start working immediately. Every one would then come in and start their work. I received clients in a friendly manner, pointed them to right direction. Typing e-mails, answering phones, dealing wit clients,filling making copies and doing e-billing. I never had any problems with my co workers. I am a team player. I have learned how to do my job properly and accurately and efficiently. I also enjoy working with any colleagues. I enjoy doing my work I am very passionate doing my work. I enjoyed having good and friendly clients and I enjoyed my loving working family. I think that I came very far with my aspects of work as I think that I can take on any challenge given to me an that I can do it a 100 percent

Excellent learning curve
Working for three Managers each with their own program was very challenging and I enjoyed every minute, also reporting to CEO of the company and carrying out tasks for him(driving), also assisting other colleagues in the Corporate branch of the company with Adhoc admin tasks gave me great job satisfaction.

Excellent learning person, always on time and active team player.
I enjoy the most to work with different people every day, and to learn more about companies. i learn more about safety and safety courses. how the create documents and how to bind it> I am getting along with all the people I am working with. The most challenging thing was the month end. I am start working at 06:30 in the mornings. I learn to solve problems. The only problem I have is a language barrier when they can't talk English or Afrikaans, and can't read or write.
Pros: Nights shifts, early hours, team player, eager to help others, own transport, pro-active,learn very easy.
Cons: Don't drink or party, always working, don't do horseplay, very quite

Not sure what is needed from me in this Review summary
It was difficult to work for a Company who looked for reasons every day to fire staff. The Company is in financial difficulty and therefore they closed down my Warehouse with all the staff that worked under me. I had a wonderful relationship with my staff and also had a Zulu nickname from them, which meant " the kind one". I learnt a lot within the environment I worked in. It was wonderful to get to know so many people, also over the phone and had the opportunity to meet some of them. The most challenging aspects being , was to keep my staff positive because they knew what was coming. Retrenchment in the end !!!
Pros: I can also work as a Bookkeeper/Accountant. Has done partial BComm with 5 year articles.
Cons: Would like weekend off, but don't mind to work if have to.

I love and grow my own seeds
Getting up bright and early, creating my day, seeing where I want to be for the day, planning where I will be calling,who I will be seeing. Making contact with my merchandise teams. Checking all is running smoothly on their call cycles. Assuring stock is displayed and stock counts are being done. Communicating with store managers regarding stock levels.Having fun. Being present and enjoying the day. I have learnt to enjoy every minute of the day and stay focused. What I enjoy most is being me.. the most challenging aspects of the job is negotiating floor space and maintaining neatness and display of stock at all times.
