I have learned to solve some issues by myself without running to the supervisor.
A typical working day entails checking/ updating personnel files, checking if there are any request from line managers to fill any vacancies. I have learnt that team work helps in achieving the goal of an organisation. We were once requested to fill about 126 posts in a month, we worked as a team (wellness, training & recruitment units). Everyone had a role to play, and the project was successful. Skills were learned and information was shared. What I enjoyed most was the recruitment, where I would start from advertising until the position is filled. The challenging aspect of the job was when fellow employees, especially senior managers will not cooperate in submitting relevant documents needed for the files.
Pros: Even though there were not opportunity for promotion, recognition for hardwork was provided
Cons: Mostly projects were unplanned, and this resulted in working long hours.

Great opportunity to further my skills in the IT Industry as a Business Analyst & Project Manager
The corporation has granted me the opportunity to play the roles of a Business Analyst and Project Manager. I want to and still have a lot to learn to grow in my career path. Relationship with co-workers is phenomenal, as they respect me as much as I respect them.

My Jouney
I enjoy what I do, and also work well with my co-workers. sometimes I work under a lot of pressure until I finish my work within deadline. I have learned a lot within a short period of time, like drawing a detailed ERD, Data elements, Database Updates, Lookup tables, State machine, Sequence diagram, Creating a Betch and compiling the whole requirement specification. My job is very challenges especially when the project I'm working on is on priority list.
Pros: A contract can be extended or the posibility of permanent post

Learning and good with people
I am going data capture from census as a contractor there help go them to compile the AR formfrom papers to computer its a. Way of I learning's thing and handle work load in time and to know more of road roles

I have being given the opportunity to learn, grown and strengthen my capability
My main Job description was co capture the statistics of the Road fatalities in the country. From the report alone I have learned the mistakes that are being done by the drivers on the road that could be avoided. I believe Road safety education will safe the country from the high number of road fatalities.

Excellent learning Curve
Working at the RTMC as a Junior Software Developer has been a very eye opening experience. On a daily basis, I waw given the opportunity to develop, debug and maintain big projects such as the Natis Online Services web application, as well as the Online Crash Reporting System which are both nationwide projects open for public use. I was fortunate to have a great working team in development and have worked well with them as well as my seniors. I enjoy the being part of the development team, solving complex development issues and working under pressure over short deadlines has taught me effective time management skills. The most challenging aspect of working at the RTMC is having to meet multiple deadlines for different projects in parallel.
