Learning

No growth and no job security. Every day work I enjoy a lot and its work with deadlines and pressure which I am use to and good at. I get along with a lot of different people. I have knowledge of different operations and different ways of work being done and people. I enjoy my job but would like to get to get experience in different field and get the change to progress

Pros: Oppertunities
Cons: No growth

Interesting

A day's work at Rockwell entails capturing leave on the nako clocking systems, Administrating informal and formal hearings, booking exit or entry medicals and doing research on new hr avenues and how we can implement them in our company to make it more effective. My relationship with my co-workers is very good as I am able to work effectively in a group and as an individual. Doing informal and formal cases is what I enjoyed the most.

Pros: Excellent platform to learn and gain practical knowledge
Cons: long working hours

EXCELLENT GROWTH

A TYPICAL WORK DAY IS WE START WITH A MEETING AND PRAYER. I BELIEVE IN AND PRACTICE GOOD COMMUNICATION BETWEEN CO-WORKERS AND ASK NOT WHAT THE COMPANY CAN DO FOR US BUT WE CAN DO FOR THE COMPANY. I HAVE LEARNT THAT WE CAN SERVE EACH OTHER AND THAT EVERY ONE CAN TOLERATE EACH OTHER. I ENJOY THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE MOST AS EVERYDAY I LEARN AND DISCOVER NEW THINGS AND SKILLS. I LOVE CHALLENGES AND DONT LIKE TO STRUGGLE. IT IS FOR THIS REASON I AM FOREVER DESIGNING THINGS WITH THE INTENTION TO IMPROVE IT FOR OPTIMUM OUTPUT AND MINIMUM OUTPUT. I HAVE BEEN REWARDED FOR DESIGNS - PEOPLE AND DESIGN TALENT ARE MY STRONGEST POINT. THE MOST CHALLENGING ASPECT OF THE JOB IS PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE AND SAFETY. I BELIEVE IN DOING THINGS RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. THANKYOU

Pros: GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO BE AN ASSET TO A REPUTABLE COMPANY
Cons: JOB SECURITY

Awesome career growth

The working environment was fair, with a great team of employees and colleagues, which made me learn a lot about groupwork. The great advantage about the company was the opportunities, however, the company politics in the executive level made the company lose investor's trust, leading to the investors pulling out qnd the untimely liquidation of the company

Pros: Great career growth
Cons: Long working hours & unstable company politicallt

I gained more experience using the security control room to adapt into the mining industry.

Having worked at Rockwell diamonds as a control room operator has taught me to be able to adapt to changing circumstances and to respect other workers not based on their positions. The workers were respectful and cooperative . The most challenging part of being a control room operator for was to make sure operators are following the instructions given by me on a daily basis . Sending of accurate reports and a proper handing over every shift change was very important and very challenging.

Pros: Great opportunities for promotion was very high since I had and experience for using excel spreadsheet to send daily reports and creating sheets
Cons: Working 12 hours requires enough experience and my previous experience did help me and looked easier for me.
