Moderate learning of workplace environment

A typical day at Roteck was extremely monotonous because it was slow, routine and not much progress. This was because I would arrive go online and search for leads then do telesales of the security equipment Roteck offered to enhance security. All in all we were 5 workers including the owner. My relationship with co workers was great very accommodating and encouraging. My relationship with my boss was mostly top down but He was generally a friendly man. I have learnt mostly how to handle my work in the best way to meet organisational objectives. I mostly enjoyed discovering or presenting ideas that would be implemented. The most challenging thing for me was to remain focused in such a monotonous environment.

Pros: Great learning experience on how to manage myself without supervision
Cons: No potential career growth at all

Substantial learning experience

A typical day included the folowing: Researching leads in various markets Generating awareness of the new marketing concept through email marketing, cold calling and social media Telesales General Office administration Provide formal progress reports Negotiate deals and secure orders we were only 5 people in the company and we worked quite well together assisted one another to reach the goal and vision of the company. This experience taught me how to be independent and literally be my own boss having to be responsible with the marketing of the company was a big task for someone without experience but i handled it well for the 3 months I was there. the most challenging aspect I would say was having to continuously use telephone marketing for such high purchase products which in effect required more direct marketing methods but resources would not allow for that, hence why we had to use the phone.

Pros: Great opportunity for me to explore my leadership attributes being in charge of the entire marketing of the company
Cons: inadequate training and motivation
