What I like of my company, the fact the we work 90% with people, make is so easy to understand each other, and the command and control system make it also so easy. We travel a lot all over our country and to the SADEC region. What I currently enjoy the work I'm doing now as a sherq officer, make people to understand safety and the challenge I have is to get our bosses to understand safety in our organization

Great company

It is a really good organization as we alway care about one another and always cover each other’s back. The work does include a lot of physical activities but nothing will ever get us down. It has learnt me a lot of coping skills and a lot of life skills. I enjoy the atmosphere of the works environment the most. Most challenging things is the amount time and effort that has to go in doing everything perfect.

Pros: Great atmosphere
Cons: Lots of time away from family

Excellent learning

Air force is good place and I learn a lot from it. Good relationship with my colleagues I learn to communication, discipline, team from the SA Air Force.

Pros: Less opportunities for promotion

Structured environment with unique challenges.

The Military provides a structured and known environment filled with discipline. It is however not boring and rigid as situations are regularly unique and requires unique ways of solving complex challenges. As my work is heavily dependant on human interaction it changes quickly and requires solutions outside of the normal box.

Pros: Structured, fairly good salary, good benefits, excellent learning oppurtunities.
Cons: Becomes tedious if done to long, being white and male is not always great.
