Challenging and fast paced

I have learnt the ability to perform negotiations and consultations processes well. Teamwork is definite requirement, so I fitted well. Thinking on your feet or being part of urgent decision making process is a skill I had to learn and continuously improve on. Highly unionised environment, with some unions very strong on their agendas, thus creating pressure on the job as decisions had to be balanced between achieving regular objectives of the mandate whilst embracing and understanding the diverse demands from labour. Steep learning curve in the initial stages of employment as the job required interacting with the CEO and the Executive as well as the Board of Directors.

Pros: The job provided great opportunities for exposure to all levels within the organisation plus growth prospects
Cons: Highly technical, complex and pressurised environment.
