At the moment i am on my second year on my three year national diploma in Business Administration

Data capturing all information about pilots, invigilating pilots and cabin crew examinations and doing registrations of aircrafts . working relatively well with my co-workers by doing the rotation of work and what need to be done under pressure when some of our colleagues are of sick. Team work is very important amongst the colleagues. Working together to reach the deadline is very important, giving moral support to your team if one of you is behind with their work. The most challenging aspects of the job is if some of you do not want to cooperate with the restcf the team and is always absent from work and lives their work behind

Pros: thinking out of the box
Cons: staying behind to reach the deadline and try to help those who are slow with their work

Great opportunity

A typical workday starts at 7am till knock off time of 15 :30, the relationship i had with my co-workers was amazing, we got along in most in cases, yes each and every colleague will have hiccups once in a while, but we would resolve the matter and go on with work. I have learned a lot within Aviation, how to deal with difficult clients, how to pay attention to detail to all the tasks allocated to you, diary management of the manager, local and international travel arrangements, communication with international clients as well, The part i enjoyed most about being there was that one was allowed to do tasks with new ideas, and the most challenging is having to deal with difficult clients in terms of all the qouations prepared for them, as some would have issues when it comes to payments.

About what i have achived

Having been a Records office I acquired the ability to pay attention to detail and apply a sense of urgency. I further acquired the ability to supervise and run a department as acting Records Manager. I am hard working and a good communicator who is able to multi-task, go an extra mile and always willing to take on extra work from any of my superiors and assist colleagues. My strength in interpersonal communication, organization, perseverance, taking initiative have always come to the fore as far as work is concerned, thus I was always given more and more responsibility. My application for any of this vacant position is influenced by the very nature of the position and the challenge that comes with. It is such challenges that bring out the best in me and I am sure that I will add value to the company.

Various areas of aviation regulation and safety oversight. Operational and strategic management.

My typical work day consists out of the operational management of a team of 26 individuals across 3 business units. The team comprises of administrative and technical personnel. I have an open door policy with my team and allow their inputs on all matters of continual improvement. I have learnt to consider everyone's views and to listen to challenges before making decisions. I am in a dynamic and relatively challenging environment as aviation is a growing industry with a large global component. Creating value for clients and internal stakeholders is one of the most challenging areas of my current role and yet also the most rewarding. I enjoy the aspect of being able to work with people and in assisting to promote their interests as far as possible within the boundaries of legislation.
