we do services of issuing machine parts to the client so all in all we make sure that the machines are running 24 hours a day by proving this service.my relationship with co-workers is good because we understand each other very well with communication and paying attention to one another. We don't expose each others mistakes but infect we talk about issues. I have learned that communication is the key to success and that listening is indeed a skill. I enjoy doing all the task that are given to me because I love my job. The most challenging aspects of this job is when a client is requesting for something that I don't have at the moment but definitely I must make a plan to render the service

Pros: there great opportunities for promotions and trainings are available to everyone who is intrested
Cons: working long hours a day,feeling fatique at the end of the day

Good eye opener

I came to Sandvik as a storeman in a completely new environment, as I was coming from retails,been a Production manager at the concrete products to been a manager at Chicken Licken.I was then elevated to work in the workshop on machines, with the experience with parts sales and issuing became easy to adapt.

Pros: Great opportunity to succeed in life.
Cons: Working under ground and sometimes late into the evening.

Eye opening and intimidating

I started to work at Sandvik as a storeman, then sent to a warehouse as both a receiving and dispatch clerk, and taken to mines to work on the machines as artisan assistant.

Great learning experience

I enjoy my current role in Automation, lots of challenges and no micro management. I have a good relation with my co - worker , however the only downside for me is to travel a lot. I don't mind on knocking off time, as long as I have delivered what is required of me for the day, overtime doesn't exist in my vocabulary.

Customer service

I have leant that customers come first, the main aim of the company should always be to serve the customer as best as they can, If a customer is not happy the company will not make profit

Pros: Sandvik has great oppotunities for Promotion and i one of the emplyees who were promoted when i started i was eployeed as a warehouse operator/storeman and i got a protion within a year i then became a logistics administrator, and they are always willing to enrich us in knowledge because when you want to study they provide fees for you to better yourself as long as its relevent to the department that you are working in
Cons: working hour are normal, if you work more hours you are compensated for overtime

Excellent leadership

Great company lots of travelling different mine, different working environment, operations various maintenance styles and management. Different types of miming equipment with different function and purposes. Different miming styles and different minerals. I've learned a great deal through my time and gain a lot of experience in hydraulic and electrical skills

Pros: Learning the different types of mining equipment, operation and fuctions
Cons: It's difficult to master all of them

Excellent Learning centre

Clock in and sit for a safety meeting. Do housekeeping and receive job cards.Everyone gets busy on their allocated work. Allocate apprentice and assistants on how they will help. If another artisan faces a challenge we help each other go through the problem and fix it together. At Sandvik, i'v mastered how to work as a member of a team and that team work is necessary.Team work is vital thing for the production of a company and we get to learn new challenges everyday.
