Extremely fast learner. Eager and willing to learn. excellent people and communication skills.
I am currently seeking permanent employment. I have completed my one year in – service training at SAPREF refinery (Shell and BP refinery) in Isipingo, Prospecton. I have graduated with a National Diploma in Chemical Engineering, from the Durban University of Technology. I would really appreciate the opportunity, if given, as I am extremely passionate about Chemical Engineering. I am currently employed at Scientec PTY Ltd as a facilitator. I teach chemical operations levels 1, 2 and 3. I am a people’s person who is able to work well with people in a team or group or with students on an individual basis or as a large group. I am also a quick learner who is always willing to go the extra mile to achieve my goals and objectives, with pride and excellence. I am fluent in English and I have excellent communication and technical report writing skills. I am excellent with Microsoft word, excel, power point, visio and CAD.
Pros: I have gained valuable teaching experience.
Cons: No career growth.

My work life
My typical work day is facilitating students. This includes teaching them new concepts and helping them understand chemical operations better. I have a very good relationship with my fellow colleagues and I am an excellent team player. I have learnt alot from this job. The number one thing is coping under pressure and having the patience and tolerance for dealing with people especially slow learners. I enjoy teaching and interacting with the learners, especially seeing their faces light up when you give them back their assessments and they see hoe well they have perfomed. The most challenging aspects with this job is dealing with difficult management who do not listen to a teams decision. Another challenging aspect is dealing with arrogant and stubborn students. But overall I love every aspect of my job.
Pros: interacting with learners.
Cons: dealing with difficult people and the salary

Great entry into the working world
I started here on an interim/contract basis straight out of university. This company has taught me a lot on the work environment and how to carry oneself out. Although there isn't much in terms of growth and progress in this field, it keeps you going until you can land your dream job!
Pros: Birthday celebrations!
Cons: No Growth
