A learning curve
First official job experience, and the Learning Curve had its ups and downs just as many jobs do. When it comes down to everything that went on I learned a lot about the job & myself and when I put my mind to something I could accomplish anything! a typical work day would include formulating products depending on the briefs at hand for the week . I work with a team of 4 brilliant ladies so its more of a family spirit amongst us I enjoy working with natural products ie your African oils and butters just playing around with them and see what more great opportunities can be unlocked from them Most challenging aspect would be colour matching , I work with a butt load of colour products and when suppliers cant get your order on time and they opt for an alternative things can get a bit complicated
Pros: great opportunity to learn the basics from grass roots
Cons: no over time pay

Good Working Experience
Get to work an hour before normally due to traffic, me and my co-workers got a good relationship like a little family. I have learnt that i can do bigger things in my life but just not in the position i am in now. I do enjoy working on my own cause i hate office politics. Most challenging is dealing with rude clients on the phone.
Pros: Meet new people every day.
Cons: Don't get promotions

Learning environment
Working at SDK allows me to work with all departments. I am a procurement manager at the company but I actually do the operations manager job as well since the previous operation manager left in June 2019. Which helped me prove to myself that I am a hard working person and can step in when needed. It also helped me work on my managerial skills in a wider range by working with all different departments, putting processes in place, leading... Unfortunately I am still waiting for an official promotion and so far I am not seeing that I will be recognized while taking the responsibility already so I think it is time for me to find a better opportunity where I can grow professionally and financially.
Pros: Great work relationship with colleagues
Cons: No opportunity for growth
