Execellent Learning Curve and brodening of skills

Some days are hectic especially when we are about to reach monthed and invoicing has to be done and clients having queries, and follwing up on PO's can be time consuming because everything has to be done accordingly. The relationship I have with my co-workers is good because we have established a way in working well togeather in order to become more productive and share the responsobilities. The main thing I have learned is to be patient and pay close attention to detail while being productive at the same time. Meeting deadlines it put me at ease and encourages me to excel in what I do. Having to deal with clients the are not very friendly is one of my challenge because at the end of the day I need to make sure the client is happy with the service provided.

Pros: Opportunity for growth within the organisation
Cons: Travelling

Growth, challenge, managing multiple responsibilities

a typical workday sitting at my desk all day, not much tasks to complete in a day, not much responsibilities. in most instances i have to create work. my relationship with my co workers is civil. multiple personalities from multiple backgrounds a bit challenging but manageable. i have learnt to be emotionally intelligent and to realise the bigger picture, we all share one common objective and that is to ensure the tasks allocated is complete up to standard according to organisational needs. i enjoy interacting with my colleagues. i enjoy delegating and completing task. the pressure you get from deadlines and the joy of seeing your boss pleased with the work produced. knowing that you an asset to the organisation and you add value. the most challenging aspects about the job, is ensuring that everybody in the team is happy with the outcome of certain tasks, accommodating every kind of personality and still ensuring professionalism. challenging but exciting.

Pros: Great opportunity to grow in a particular industry.
Cons: Lack of consistency

Working with different cultures.

Good day, Head of Procurement for Africa, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer for Africa & Western Europe, with 40 direct reports, of which five are Sub-Regional Procurement Managers, covering North Africa, West Africa Anglophone, West Africa Francophone, East Africa and Southern Africa. I have a yearly spent of $1.75 Billion for Africa, and have a yearly savings target of $9 million. My portfolio covers the services SGS offers services across our 11 major industries through our nine business lines: AGRICULTURE AND FOOD; CHEMICAL: CONSTRUCTION; CONSUMER GOODS AND RETAIL; ENERGY; INDUSTRIAL MANUFACTURING; LIFE SCIENCES; MINING; OIL AND GAS & TRANSPORTATION. In charge of cross cultural teams, and in 2017, I developed and implemented a Shares Service Center for Africa, in Mauritius, thus combining Volume of Spend, and reducing overall cost to the company (this also lead to reduced lead times, standardization, etc). Regards Kevin

Pros: Multinational company with room to move from Region to Region.
Cons: Targets set by Global in hard currency.
