I loved working in an environment where i was able to add value to my staff and the business, i enjoyed training and developing my staff, i loved the challenge of looking of ways to increase my turnover, the interactions with my suppliers and customers, i am a hands on manager, i am creative in my thinking and executing of tasks, i enjoyed bringing creativity to the mind sets of my staff, i love being challenged, it brings the best in me. I love the rush and buzz of the retail world, its unpredictable, you never know what to expect, retail keepa you on your toes, makes you appreciate your staff and customers tgat walk through your doors every day. Challenge is maintaining your sales daily, thinking out of the box in terms of promoting your stock and showing your creativity in terms of merchandising and visual appearance.

Store Manager duties

I worked in retail till the end of Jan 2019, i am currently free lanving Health and Safety Rep.senior store Manager , manages all aspects of the store, turnover, people and stock. Executed promotions, merchandising and store layouts, strong admin skills attention to detail.managed all inductions of new staff, done weekly payroll, liased with buyers and planners weekly/monthly.

Pros: Good company
Cons: Long hours
