Excellent learning curve

A committed and driven B-Tech Chemical Engineering Graduate with understanding and applying the basic principles of Chemical Engineering and planning skills to deliver assignments within set timeframes and to a high quality standard. In addition of demonstrating knowledge of different operations of reaction, separation, matter processes, and fluid circulation transport involved in the industrial processes of Chemical Engineering. My intentions are to develop critical thinking and reasoning, analysis and synthesis skills, and scientific and systemic reasoning. Working independently and developing successful independent learning strategies managing and solving problems, adapting to unpredictable situations and making my own decisions while working in an organised manner.

Learning Curve

Sika SA is well recognized chemical company producing products that are mainly used in the construction and car making industry, my day to day work is more of monitoring the raws used and the raws needs to be ordered, is my main function to make sure raws are available to produce products that are stated on the production plan for that week., i am a dynamic person who has a good relationship with not only my colleagues but also the suppliers. i have learnt so much, how to interact with suppliers, maintaining a good relationship. I mostly enjoy the buying part of it, were you find that one needs to raise PO and receiving them, interaction with different suppliers i find it most fascinating. The most challenging aspects of the job is when a supplier can't meet the delivery dates, or when the plant of the supplier has come to a halt, it means your production scheduled is now behind, and you have to derive some means to catch up with the plan.

Cons: Work on weekend when needed
