Have about 12 years experience as a dedicated Management Accountant.

I can associate with a broad range of resources. I work with cost centre managers and executives to advice them on monthly financial performance. Compliance with legislation is key. I have learnt to handle clients financial information with strict confidentiality and became the owner of finanials for their business units. Understand the cost centre needs in order to support their budget inputs and forecasting for months ahead. When not àt work I am confident that colleagues will carry on with my functions as we rotate functions occasionally. Typically when there are structural changes or when a colleague lives our unit. The most challenging aspect is to produce a meaningful consolidated monthly report within strict timelines. It is also a challenge to get to know the clients business and be able to support their financial needs especially during budget process.

Pros: Rotation gives great opportunity to know company business holistically.
Cons: Not much room for growth.

Excellent learning curve

I am able to associate with a broad range of resources. Advice cost centre managers with financial information. Interact with executives to understand and support business units financial needs. Enjoy working as a team. Play a role in meeting and discussions on enhancement of our financial reporting to top management. Have advanced knowledge of Ms Excel as we use it to write out reports. At times when colleague is absent, we stand in ànd as such able to know other business units' activities. I have learnt to operate under strict deadlines to write consolidated report and individual business units reports. I enjoy working with figures. Challenges arise in getting to know operations in a new business unit. It may take a while to understand and flow with the business needs. It is nevertheless interesring to know how a business unit fits into a bigger picture of the organisation.
