Siyaya Skills Institute Reviews

Fast learner, attention to detail, able to lead and motivate other team member.

I go to work every morning and i normally have my day planned but when i get to the office, my manager will ask me to stop what i am busy with and give me another task to complete. As a results i never get a chance to complete my work and deadlines are not met. I work very well with my co-workers and i respect each and everyone of them. We communicate well via meetings and emails to ensure that everyone has the correct information to be able to complete their duties in terms of assessment and facilitation. Our company is dominated by women and sometimes as women we have issues that affects us and we are able to help one another so that one of ours does not under perform due to stress. I always make sure that i am there for my co-workers when they need assistance in terms of assessment, facilitation and moderation due to my knowledge and experience. I enjoy being helpful to others. I don't like give bad news to learners or co-workers.

Pros: Opportunity to study further and to grow within the company
Cons: Not being recognized for all effort to ensure the job well done.

Friendly people and an excellent place to learn

the company culture is brilliant, I have never met so many truly friendly people who work together in one place. There is a good opportunity for growth within your department and movement between departments can also occur. They do very good work for the learners who are unable to find work

Pros: opportunities to grow and learn outside your scope, the people are wonderful, good company culture
Cons: too few staff members to cover important aspects

Great working environment

-Arriving at work one's always greeted with a smile and a mug of coffee. The tasks for the day are set after a small meeting with the coworkers and we go about our day. We assist each other whenever the need arises but still remain focused on what is expected of us. We gather during break times a talk about day-to-day life and what ails us at times but we make sure to keep it professional. -My team and I are extremely supportive of each other. We have a collective "no person gets left behind" attitude. We tend to help one another when the going gets tough, as the poor performance of one member reflects poorly on the team. -I have learned quite a bit about administrative and managerial practices. -I enjoyed the lively work environment and interacting with great people. -Learners at the institute were difficult to interact with at times.

Pros: Supportive coworkers
Cons: Planning problems and loud learners.

Don't ever work for this company

This company recruit you out of your job with false promises, only to find after you signed the contract that you have been lied to. For an example they tell you that there are career opportunities and room for growth, then use past work experience as an excuse not to give you a promotion.

Pros: None
Cons: Female dominated environment

Great Learning Opportunity

A typical day at Siyaya Skills Institute would be that you can never expect the same day to repeat its self. Each day comes with its own experiences and challenges. I have a great relationship with my colleagues they are like a family away from home and hold each of them dearly in my department. I enjoy the uncertainty of what will happen each day the most there is never a dull moment. I learnt all about the Training Industry's inner workings and I enjoyed the learning process. The most challenging aspect of the job is that the work load is way to much and with budget cuts one person has to do everything.

Pros: Great learning environment, was taught all the in's and outs of a training environment.
Cons: No growth opportunities, the company is going through a bit of a financial challenge.
