My typical work day

At my current job. I am hands on everything. I assist opetations manager with the operations. Logistics, Hiring,Recruiting for the company,short listings and the running of the company. I work with programme manager ,i manage the projects, I attend Review meetings/gatherings, I'm involved in data verifications, I procure venue hire,catering,salaries ,stipends. I pick up deliveries,orders for the operations of the projects. I liaise with site office,field workers , facilitators from other organizations. I update communication data bases,communication channels, I am also involved in gathering report's of performances. I sometimes run reception when our receptionist is on leave or lunch break. I have learnt to work under pressure. Learnt to work/deal with different people and that quality is essential.

Pros: Promoted to Projected assistant
Cons: Sometimes I'll need to work from home, after hours.

It was great, i grew as a person and I learned a lot from others and team work

It was such a great and amazing experience especially for me because I was a field worker. My service was to work with the people in the community and to empower them, they they have told remarkable and rewarding stories. I was always happy going to work knowing that I will make a change into someone’s life each day.I learned a lot but mostly I grew as a person especially in the way I was thinking. There was never a typical day when you dealing with people every day starts from 100 speed up until you get home. I enjoyed everything about my work because I got to meet new people and build rel everyday and I love people and interacting so too me it was amazing, also hearing different stories and challenges people go through. Never underestimate life.The most challenging part was salaries and the job KPAs and what was expected from us

Pros: It was a learning curve, exposure to many other fields and a great experience
Cons: Long working hours and traveling

Learning curve

IItw a healthy working environment with supportive colleagues. You have a daily submission target. I enjoy working was a team. It's always challenging to be given a target yet not have enough resources to work towards the target.

Learning experience in a professional manner

work a day is hectic but manageable. we are having a good relationship with other workers in order to come p with the best interest of the project. i have learnt that working together as a team at work improves the best services that the company is rendering. i enjoy when i get my task done at a prearranged time and to help people i enjoy the most. the job is challenging when the client is not satisfied with the help you are providing and sees you as a failure in his/her problem.

Pros: great opportunity to develop your helping/counselling skills
Cons: lack of clients for for some period of time
