My name is Thabo Mohlaping I was working at Smollan for Fours my first year I was doing learnership for a year then I was titled as an merchandiser instore.For me being a hard worker I was promoted after three months to become a field marketer. I have learn a lot especially when it come to customer service.Working with Smollan it was good but not the most precious thing I have learned is having intergrity to everyone you work with. The job was to much challenging when it comes to customers.Working hours were not good I am good person co-workers always text me telling me they miss me.What I have enjoyed most their slogan at Smollan what it says If You Green You Grow.Thank you

Learnership programme that assisted me in developing my skills
A lot of challeges as I was new to the Call Centre environment but with the amazing Mentors I managed to develop my skills and build up my confidence levels to new heights. Registering Call Centre Vouchers, Call Centre assistance to Tiger Brands, Reckitt Bechiser, Danone and Coca-Cola. I delat with big name brands and Clients. Our Field Managers placed a lot of pressure on me and I had to rise to the challenge and constantly deliver on service. I enjoyed the satisfaction of ending a happy caller's call and moving on to the next one and the team I worked with was very professional. I have learnt from the best!
Pros: Skills development and teamwork.
Cons: Only a learnership and no permanent vacancy available.

Excellent
Smollan is good company to work as a promote you can even work 2 jobs at the same time because you give then your time table.I enjoy work there part time I get paid every week is great.

Good knowledge and skills
When I start work I make sure that everything is in place the packaging on the shelves is in order and merchandise is displayed appropriately. I make sure that goods are received in good condition before unpacking them on the shelves. Maintaining in-store promotional materials as key tasks throughout the day. And maintaining clean and orderly checkout areas.Compile and maintain non-monetary reports and records. I have a good relationship with my colleagues we have a transparent relationship and assist each other were necessary. This assist in building a positive relationship within the company. I have learnt good communication , leadership skills and working well under pressure. I enjoy working with people as I meet different characters everyday and build new customer relationship,builds my confidence in what i do. The most challenging part of my job is dealing with difficult customers which I handle it quite well as customers come first.

Excellent learning curve
The industry has groomed me to become indipendent and responsible. I work under time frames and expected to reach targets under no supervision. I report regularly at the office with positive feedback as I've learned to solve problems on my level and give solutions as feedback.
Pros: I'm self driven and forever eager to learn new things and grow myself.
Cons: Going extra mile is a learning opportunity for me.
