I had a very good and torrid time. I would still rejoin if the environment was to change
I attended EXCO and Board meetings. I introduced the Organisation Development unit in HR I introduced HR Shared Service in HR to deliver service to business My relationship wit colleagues was positive. We were able as HR to introduce many HR and OD projects with the support of my EXCO colleagues. I had a difficult period with one of the Executive Directors who wanted things done without following protocols but would not give instructions in writing. We had a lot of differences around issues of governance. For example my EXCO colleagues support the idea that we sign a Leadership Ethics Manifesto as something to bind us on following corporate governance and ethics He stopped the project despite it being approved by Board. The Performance management system was approved by Board but blocked by him. There are many other frustrations that even though I took them to Board and complain nothing was done to release these projects. I enjoyed working with my EXCO, unions and other stakeholders

Cons: Bullying and corrosive working relationship with one Executive Director

Management Consulting progression and Growth Curve
The Current Type of work is an small to medium size Management and Finance Consulting firm (TVBK Holdings) and my daily role and responsibility includes but not limited to the following: - Finance and business development manager which entails day to day running of the finance department in all operations which includes managing 8 employees and mentoring them as well. but what is key in my role is to grow our client base which involves marketing and stakeholder engagement with prospective clients. -I have a very cordially relationship with my co-workers that's includes the companies MD, Since we work on an open plan which encourages team work among my co-workers. -The mail skill I have acquired in my new role is to mentor my subordinates and the ability to go out the and get new business for the company. -What I have enjoyed the most is marketing the business and acquiring new deals/business from our existing and potential clients.

Opportunity for growth and learning.
I work with 7 officers. Recently a restructuring was done and we are in a phase where officers are still learning the different jobs. As a coordinator my responsibilities were also revised and amended. I reconcile bank account and distribute work equally between officers. Approval of Independent Contractors monthly for 2 weeks and check customer accounts. Assist in payment of staff claims and vendors. I relate very well with co-workers especially my subordinates. I believe in an open door policy, though it is time consuming sometimes. my subordinates know that they can talk to me about anything and everything. I learnt that team-work is very important. more is achieved when all members of the team understand the importance of the member or vendor because their account has open items that needs to be sorted out.
Pros: Opportuntiy for growth and more responsibility.
Cons: Mananging a team that are willing to do anything to see the success of the division.

Exposure in finance, IT and at Enterprise Risk Management areas.
A typical work day is a day with a scheduled risk assessment session planned to last by the end of a business working day. I am in good relationship with everyone at work. I greet and talk with everyone - security, cleaner, clerk, manager, group executive, CEO, COO, CFO and Board member. I have learnt strategic and operational objectives of the organization, relevant risks from sales, finance, IT and support and contributing to the annual year-end report. I enjoyed managing staff, making informed decisions and seeing positive results thereof. Lack of senior support was a challannge as I could not imolement what I believed was for the best interest of the organization but not supported by senior or management.
Pros: Great learning opportunity for the business

A much needed change and new challenge as well as a learning curve.
Every morning there is a diary meeting to discuss stories that will be covered on that given day. We are then assigned to different destinations to conduct interviews and visuals for our stories. We are always working and traveling in teams, therefore we forge healthy working relationships. Some end up being part of our families because of good work relationships. I enjoy seeing my stories on air after a long day's work. I have also learnt that we are because we have each other. We rely of each other for almost everything. The long distance traveling takes a lot, but we take it as comes for the benefit of the company and great output. Dealing with different personalities is also a challenge, but as we were taught at school not to change our persona because of the behavior of the next person, we keep working.
Pros: It looks like a great opportunity for change and a position of leadership
Cons: Adjusting to the new working environment, but I can handle it.

CURRENT WORK REVIEW
Attend daily meetings. Assess and upload team's work online. Edit and approve scripts. Represent Supervisor on stakeholder issues. Great work relations. Exposure to management style of work and accountability. I enjoy seeing my plans come to fruition. I do added activities with no added remuneration

Excellent learning curve
Healthy working environment where we are encouraged to work well under pressure, to be creative, excellent, to have great team work and enjoy what to we are doing.

Excellent work environment
- Typical day involves planning the days verification areas and deadlines. So most of the day is spent on the field. - I love my colleges, they make my 8 hours at the office a bit easier because working with people can be frustration. - I have learnt the backrounds to what makes financial statements, and how important my work is because of the impact on accuracy it has on the FS. - I have learned how to account for assets and have them disposed off. - I really enjoy that fact that I am not office based, that gives an opportunity to sharpen my people skills.

Excellent Work Experience
As a consultant I love that I am exposed to a variety of challenges facing employees, both at work and privately. I work closely with my clients and colleagues to give my best. No day is the same. I enjoy that my workplace is like working in a hospital. The biggest challenge is there in no job security as the organization is bankrupt due to fraud and mismanagement of funds by previous management.
Pros: There is great learning opportunities
Cons: No guarantee things get better without a bailout.
