Extensive Internal Auditing experience

I've been operating at senior level for well over 10 years and have been reporting to the Audit Committee directly. I've been a Group Head of Internal Audit function I currently oversee the Internal Audit function which is co-sources and this means managing the relationship with the co-source partners. I have an excellent working relationship with all my colleagues, particularly the Executive management and the members of the Audit Committee. I've learned over the years to build sound relationships between Internal Audit function and other divisions to ensure that Internal Audit is seen as a value-add to the organisation. I enjoy interacting with my staff and other colleagues in addressing a problem and finding a solution together. As head of Internal Audit, one is always viewed with skepticism by colleagues and this I see as a challenge to convince them otherwise.

Pros: I am a team player and hard worker.
Cons: I work long hours to ensure deadlines are met.

I have a sound clinical and laboratory background supported by both public and private healthcare exposure with additional scientific writing skills .
