i always kile to help people from my department if the have a lot of work, Trying to meet their deadlines, Friendly person. Its nice to work at South Cape TVET College because you learn more things than expected to different department. I have learnt about how to organise training from the starting point of organising a trainer untill to the end by giving them evaluation forms to show me how was the training.Organising meeting for Human Capital Development. Recruitment and selection , organising interviews from advertising the post through emails, Career junction, new papers and George Herald.To deal with disciplinary procedures, warnings and dismissals. The most components that i enjoy is Recruitment and selection and Training. The challenging component was Labour Relations when it comes for me to go to Labour Department to defend my self for the dismissal of employee.

Pros: Gain lot of experience
Cons: This company dont like to employ interns permanent due to their working hard.

An environment designed for diversification.

South Cape TVET College has the potential to be the best environment within which one can thrive and have creative freedom. The Marketing team is very small thus everyone has to be fully invested in all spheres of marketing to see any significant movement towards set targets. There are 3 recruitment officers who cover an 85000km2 catchment area. We are presently officially 50% understaffed. But with systematic planning, we manage to cover the area in which we provide our service. The Marketing and communication manager covers all aspects of content development, external communication and manages all campaigns. An ideal situation would be if there was a social media and public relations team, but there is isn't due to budget constraints. As a result, I have become very multi-skilled; sometimes in areas I never imagined I would venture into. E.g. the development of the Annual Report of the College.

Cons: No opportunity for promotion

They provide free education

South Cape TVET College provide a good learning. They give bursaries to all students who don't afford to pay for themselves. South Cape TVET College lecturers make sure that all students passed & they looking a place for them to do their practicals in order for them to obtain their National N Diploma. To all those students who get internship at South Cape TVET College they make sure that they get the relevant exposure according to their qualification. I know everything at HR Department now even if they can place me to any component at HR i will be able to the job.

Cons: No school holidays to support staff
