Very poor pay . We work long hours and work very hard for minimum wage

Average day start at 9am. Sort out scripts from day before,apply for chronic applications for patients, assist walk in patients by processing scripts and assisting pharmacist to dispense, assist with telephonic orders by patients , receive orders placed the day before, check stock expiry , merchandise stock on designated shelf, process chronic repeats scripts for patients to collect. I work well with my colleagues but also work fast and efficient alone as we are extremely short staffed. Excellent manager/tutor to work under. Have learnt to be patient tolerant and understanding of all patients. But most important I learnt to follow the rules. We do the best we can to help but not diagnose. That's up to the docters. Most challenging aspect personally is the very poor pay. As much as I love my job, the pay every month is very disheartening. Also the lack of work ethic by fellow colleagues. Puts unnecessary pressure on other staff

Energetic environment

The best aspect of working at sparkport is the group of people I work with, a great bunch of hardworking, dedicated employees, it helps when you working long hours and every weekend to be surrounded with good friends, it creates a fun easy to work in environment. Management staff are very encouraging and pro active. Versatile customer base teaches you different ways to approach different situations, always something new to learn, challenging and exciting working experience.

Cons: Working every weekend and public holiday

An exciting challenging environment when you need to grow.

At Sparkport Pharmacy I spent five years refining my abilities as a negotiator and motivater using my skills as a problem solver to persuade clients to try new and exciting products. I have learned in within the company how to work around different types of people.

Pros: Challenging but gives time to learn more.
Cons: Pushing myself to the limit is my game to achieve task.
