Excellent learning curve

A typical working day starts at 7:00am for me. I have a very good professional relationship with my co-workers. I have learnt to not be emotional about work or issues which may arise and never run away from conflict. I enjoy training staff and achieving excellent service levels with Specavers customers and empowering staff meeting targets which is required by management. the most challenging aspects is managing expectations of staff and customers but always think differently and never apply the same recipe to all issues.

Pros: Business knowledege
Cons: no career or financial growth, long working hours

Great learning curve

Good company to work for. Great team. No room for growth for position or salary. Clients complain all the time. No feeling of doing good, which is supposed to be when you are assisting someone to better their sight.

Pros: Great working hours
Cons: Mundane work

Helping with customer communication, admin and data capturing.

I work with new people every half an hour when they come in for their appointment meaning that I get challenged with different personalities a lot which helps with knowing how to handle different kinds of people. I am a person who loves working in teams so I get along with my co-workers very well. I have learned that you need to put the customer's needs first and that prioritizing is very important. I enjoy meeting new people every day and building relationships with them.

Pros: Great opportunity for learning how to sell a product and to read different personalities
Cons: You have to maintain the same "happy" personality no matter how you feel
