A really good experience to push yourself

I worked in a very big company. Starboard is the biggest retail company at sea for a few years now. You need to work very close with your collegues to ensure that your sales stays yours. A typical day at work is on average 10 hours. Long and tiring but very rewarding at the same time. The more time you spend at work the better you become. It can be very discouraging at time but you always need to keep a positive attitude, because none of your days are the same.

Excellent work experience

Everyday is filled with a lot of energy and excitement to promote new products at the best prices. Teamwork is key, and therefore all sales and promotions are done as a team. I've learned that with a positive mindset and can do attitude everything is possible. I've enjoyed most being in control of the planning of my daily promotions to reach my personal targets. The challenging part of the job is not knowing the outcome of each cruise, because some people enjoy shopping and some don't. So, to sell a product to someone who decided not to spend money was always difficult.

Pros: Great opportunity to excell in your job.
Cons: Long working hours with little to no extra income
