I learn a lot about electronic and safety devices.Strata sp mine it's a good company but the problem is we didn't get oppotunity to get more education and they ddnt give us a chance of learning about staff like working on programming equipment.Me and ma co-worked we have a good relationship because we work as a team. Most challenging thing is when we have breakdown at the mine cos they check time that you take to fix it

Service Technician working underground

I'm a qualified technician holding a national diploma in Electrical Engineering (heavy current). I'm enjoying to work here except that I'm not getting a competitive salary, there's too much of pressure but I'm enjoying it because It grows me up, it's nice working with my fellow colleagues. The most happening aspect is that there's too much job for an individual and working long hours 12hours shift. I've learnt a lot in the working industry, competing job cards after every job done it's very important to me.

Pros: Promotion is very rare to happen
Cons: Long working hours

Excellent learning curve in HR & Quality Control Certificates.

I was appointed as PA and as there was no HR Manager, I had to fulfill the role until an HR Manager was appointed. Due to the fact that company have just started and there was nobody to do the Quality Control Certificates I have been asked to take over that responsibilities as well. I started with no system and developed a full filing system electronically as well as hard copies.

Pros: I have learned about HR and Quality Control
Cons: No promotion.

Excellent learning curve

I am normally in the office at 7h30 although office hours are 8h00 - 17h00. I am responsible for all the QC certificates and nothing may leave the premises without my certificates. This is my main responsibility although I am also responsible for the stationary as well as all the other admin, switchboard, reception. I do get on with my co-workers at all levels from Top to floor. I have learns a bit about HR admin as well as Quality Control admin ass well as keeping a proper soft and hardcopy filing system on all the quality control certificates. I do enjoy issueing the certificates but I also enjoy working with the staff regarding stationary. My challenge is to get the certificates out on time for the drivers to leave with the product for the mines.
