Summit Financial Partners Reviews

Personal growth

In my world ever day has a new challenge, a new person I meet, a new relationship I build. I have various shoes to fill, being sales, account management, complaint handling to customer care. I work extremely close with my work colleagues and have built an amazing relationship will all staff through out. I learnt a lot about myself and what I am capable of doing if I get the free reign to do it. What I enjoy most, I would say having a satisfied client. A happy client, a happy me! I would say the most challenging aspect of my job is growth and the culture of the business is not to pay more, but to give more work, more tasks to complete.

Pros: Flexible working hours
Cons: No perks

Pushing myself beyond boundaries...

I learned to push myself, as an onsite consultant you have no one looking over your shoulder. basically is about pushing yourself, interacting with the right people and building networks. This brought about a lot of discipline and self management skills, time management and consumer care skills. The most challenging part was marketing the servises and getting people to understand the purpose and building the trust around employees. That allowed me to learn more about reading work related books and current events which allowed me to speak facts and to be able to tackle questions and my listening and responding skills have improved.

Pros: Great opportunity to build business relationships and gaining trust from clients.
Cons: travelling and long hours

Great learning Curve

The customer care environment requires teamwork The workload is always on a rise every day. so one has to respond to queries quick and efficiently From this environment, I have learned to work under pressure and how to handle clients The challenges are usually caused by credit providers who refuse to restructure accounts or delay in responding.

Pros: Great opportunity experience wise
Cons: Not the relevant field for my career to kickstart

I have been supervising a small team and realised that its time to manage a bigger team

I work in a Debt Counselling company where we find clients who does not want to pay and its a challenge to the team as we have to explain to them again the danger of non payment and that creditors has the wright to terminate if there is no payment. Its also hard to deal with angry creditor but with the team i have we manage to protect the client with everything we have. Communication with the team is great as we listen to each view and practice it.

Pros: Sharing my views with the new team and learning other things from new people. I think new environment is what is needed
Cons: I am used to 6:30 to 15:00 and mon to fri only. i am willing to work saturday but once once in a month and knocking off at 14:00

Excellent learning curve

The company promotes a free environment for employees, Its goals are to fight against dodgy lending but amongst other things is to protect the financial well being of the consumers, to ensure that people on the streets are not abused. The National Credit Act is one of the guiding principles that the company uses to fight against reckeless lending, overcharging of fees, credit life insurance as well as interest rates

Pros: Great opportunity for promotion
Cons: Long working hours
