Excellent learning experience
Great knowledge attained. Various aspects of IT to gain knowledge and understanding. Not just software testing. Involved in JAD sessions, scrum methodology applied. Endeavour to continuously report on logging methods and adhering strictly to policy and procedures. waterfall methodology applied when it comes to the Imaging and Workflow aspect of the business. With regards to the payments side more of scrum is applied. Regular Testing of modules coupled with regression testing ensures compliance and integration is seamless thereby cutting down on Severity 1 and 2 defects picked up in User Acceptance testing. Heading a team of 4 senior testers. Teamwork as well as individuality is promoted. Training on an ongoing basis as business and client requirements evolve. I love being faced with new challenges. Use resources well in order to ascertain the desired outcome of the system at hand. The most challenging part is awaiting defect fixes on the core product. Often time delays bring us to a standstill.
Pros: Test team lead
Cons: No overtime pay, oversight for promotion

Excellent personal and career growth
Adopting new ways of doing things such as working remotely and working normal hours. The organization is growing rapidly and working hard to get new businesses and the team is very spporrive, courageous and purposeful. I have learned that working towards one goal and give all spport and being dedicated to your work also to the team helps the work to be done efficiently and effectively. The most challenging about the job is that you must alsways be ready to adjust and handle multiple projects or tasks at a time
Pros: Opportunities for learning is always there
Cons: Normal working hours

Managing projects from kick off to Go-live and then support hand over
Working at Sybrin has empowered me to be able to deal with pressure and prioritizing tasks. My typical day at work is to update the daily support report and distributing it to the stakeholders. Setting up meetings and sharing minutes thereof. Holding daily stand-ups with the projects and support team. We have a mutual relationship with my co-workers and we are helpful towards each other. I have learned to deliver projects on time and addressing changes to the system. I enjoy the pressure of the projects environment as it allows me to stretch myself. The most challenging aspect of my job is having to deliver the project to the client with limited resources capacity as that means the resources need to put in long hours.
Pros: Project Manager
Cons: None

Great for new starters, Involved learning curve, company culture is improving.
Each year new grads are employed, Fresh blood keeps the environment alive. co-workers bond together like a family and most of the time watch out for each other. I have learned many facets of the financial industry. Pleasing clients seems to be the most taxing part. There are many pros such as Fridays with colleagues and frequent team buildings. Great coffee on the house and daily fruits. a lot of what we do is to support development in the financial sector for our clients, but new industries are using our products.
Pros: great way to start as a grad, new changes to improve employee satisfaction. The "on-the-ground" people are great.
Cons: there may be a need for weekend work or over time which is rewarded in other ways.
