Very much enjoyed it, as i could show the company what i was capable of.

Typical work would be routine in that servers would be checked before 7am Syspro would be checked for outstanding receipts for the night shift my relationship with my co - workers was very good we got along very well i learnt that no matter how hard you work no one is expendable i enjoyed mostly fixing issues that i had never face before and therefore cutting down the ETA of 2 weeks to outsourced companies - for example HI Path Manager controls the VOIP IP Phones - i took pride in myself that i taught myself to fix the problems when the phones would not work so with that being said the company saved money and the down time was minimal. Because i was the only onsite support i managed up to 400 users not only repairing computers and supporting software issues but also maintaining of the network simultaneously.

Pros: Because of my Hard work i got an increase of over 1000 rand within the first 3 months of working at TDM
Cons: more users than anything else putting wrong stock into the wrong warehouses and not cleaning it up so when it came to stock take all the product classes where in the warehouse or still sitting in transit

Experience in management.Great challenge to improve conditions and train individuals

Opportunities to work to with different levels of management. Forced to come up new ideas to solve problems on machines. Overcoming daily challenges. Solve breakdowns sourcing of spares Utilizing skills to solve problems

Pros: No two days are the same.problem solving
Cons: Working long hours.weekends holidays

Excellent learning curve

It was a very good company to work for. Excellent team of workers. I learnt a lot from a manufacturing environment. I enjoyed my work function - stock managment. Flexible hours.

Wonderful skills gained

I really leant a lot at TDM Powered: patience in your work as much as you requered to work fast and accurate. You get to learn to do things right the first time. As work learn the learn machines and some of the aspects of toolmaking, you get a confidence boost.

Excellent learning curve

I am highly motivated and hard working person who is willing to learn and contribute to fellow employees. I have served on shift rotation system for the past 18 years, working with absolutely no supervision. my duties were to carryout breakdowns, planned, corrective, preventive and proactive maintenance on various machinery namely, conveyors , hydraulic and pneumatic system, plcs, dc and ac drives, instruments, refrigeration, induction furnaces, boilers, overhead cranes, scada system, compressors, water treatment plants, cooling towers and also packing systems. Rolling mills, slitter lines, presses, saw mills, paint lines, and panel building.

Pros: great opportunity for promotion.
Cons: 10 hrs a day
