I am very passionate about the civil engineering

Duties: Coordinating all site construction activities and supervises all field personnel Administer Construction safety practices with all on site activities. Ensuring daily programming of all site works is performed in accordance with the company’s construction program, Ensuring that all site resources (labour, machinery, equipment, materials, subcontractors etc) are effectively utilized and monitored in order to achieve timely completion of projects at company's standards Keeping track of all work performed as well as materials used and is responsible for control of costs in materials used and wages. Managing Site Foreman’s efficiently with guidance, training and motivation. Conduct regular site visit to interact with Supervisor and Client’s. Compile reports Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.

Excellent learning curve on dealing with people

Working at thalami has made me aware of how to deal with people. Here I’ve learnt that we as employees that are desperately seeking employment can and will be highly exploited by both Senior management and line mangers we would be made to work very odd hours that include very long and unnecessary overtime which is not paid for. Communication is not done, you are not given the tools to execute ur daily duties

Pros: Great opportunity for experience
Cons: Very long hours

It was an good learning curve as it has helped improve my management skills

Giving orders to supervisors and making sure that they implement our weekly planning. Meeting deadlines inorder to make sure that the client is always happy. Daily running of site inorder to make sure that everything is running accordingly. Liason with clients and co-workers inorder to achieve one common goal , As I was working with engeneers but I was incharge of landscaping and Horticulture activities. We had to make sure that there is balance between the two

Pros: Great experience for landscaping and garden maintenance Garden
Cons: I used to enjoy long working hours from 07:00- 17:00 sometimes We will work overtime inorder to meet deadlines.
