Good training ground

A really good company to learn and grow. Not the most fair of employers. A lot of favouritism being shown. A lot of nepotism as well. I would definitely have to review my reason for staying if I decide to do such within the next few months

• Manage the adherence to the Store Operating Procedures and the Merchandising and Marketing plans to Delight the customer through managing navigation, hygiene, availability, responsiveness and in-store experience • Continuously scan the external market in order to influence the decision making that will affect sustainable business growth. • Driving turnover, expense management that’s doing budgets managing salaries and overtimes • Communicating with the buyers to get the right stock relevant to my market area • Implementing stock takes and promos • Ensure excellence and pace in store • Maximise store performance through effective utilisation of the store operating scorecard. • Planning, motivate, train and develop staff. • Ensure stock availability within store • Ensure effective people management, development and alignment in store, in order

The Foschini group work experience

It is a challenging environment to work at. At some point with limited staff and a lot of activities taking place, like receiving stock, attending to customer queries. Following up on orders placed. Implementing new promotions. Analysing business reports and sending feedback. Attending to emails and actioning urgent instruction. Dealing with stafff queries as well.

Pros: Good learning curve in a lot of departments. EG. Jewellery, Cellphones, Clothing and Cosmetics.
Cons: Unexpected long working hours, including Public holidays and weekends

Good Communication skills and Good interpersonal relationship

Working for TFG is like working at home as all staff members treat each other like family. I've learnt more, including good communication skills aspecially when coming to customer service and sometimes it's challenging when it comes to difficult customers, we need to be more patient and relaxed to resolve their issues. Every customer is important. I enjoy team work because we share more ideas.

Excellent opportunities to learn

The best company to learn and grow. I have learnt so much in the time that i am here. I have been given many opportunities to succeed and grow. I have also learnt valuable experience in terms of myself and how to conduct myself.the employees are kike my family . The team work is amazing. The environment is very optimistic and energetic

Learn how to communicate with peers and clients

We work so hard and we understand each other even motivate by having power hours where if you not making sales,we would give support and try to as sit on you sales pitch,learnt a lot how to work as an individual and how to work as a team to meet the daily targets.Sales environment is a very vibey environment where u can stand and pitch feel free when you selling your product.The most challenging part is where you need to convince client or customer to buy your product that you are selling.

Good Learning Curve

The company has provided a great learning curve for me. Through patience and understanding, I have established good relationships with my colleagues, and that improves my typical work day and reduces a lot of unnecessary pressures. I have learned countless things on administration, Human Resource, Systems and interpersonal relationships. I train experienced people to effectively make use of the company's system, and correcting them isn't always easy since they have been using the same system for years. This system affects the general employee's salary, work hours and shift patterns. I'm always required to make good facilitation, making sure every individual understands the system.

I am passionate about retail and can make a huge difference in any retail business

I have extremely good experience in retail and can make a huge difference in any retail company with my years of working in retail. I am very confidant that i know most of the in's and out's of retail and. i work very well in a team and as a team leader. I have learned that is have a great passion for retail since i left my previous employment to start my own business, i really missed it. i enjoy the challenges in the retail industry, the most challenging aspects of the job is to maintain and increase your annual turnover.
